  • School-Level Professional Development: During the School-Level Professional Development I was able to attend the GradePro workshop, Letters and Sounds workshop, Read Alouds workshop, and Content Vocabulary workshops.

2. In-Service Meetings – these meetings are held every other Wednesday at the OES Cafeteria from 2:30 – 3:30pm.

  • Topics included in the In-Service meetings were Differentiated Instruction, Accreditation Meetings, Meet Tom Jackson, using Graphic Organizers, etc.

3.Turtle Learning Community (Staff Meetings)

  • Staff Meeting: Staff Meetings are held every other Wednesday. All school staffs are mandated to attend. The topics that are usually discussed are about upcoming events and activities, future plans, concerns from other grade levels, and other issues regarding the staff and our students.
  • Fishbowl: Every meeting, we are given a journal or newsletter regarding issues that are being faced at school, home, and workplace. Each grade level will have a representative for the fishbowl activity. in this activity, the representatives discuss about the reading and share their opinions and views about what they've just learned. the other staffs (who are not a part of the fishbowl activity) will just listen to the discussion in the fishbowl.
